Prusa Features
A lot of people want to print high-quality objects, but they don’t have access to the right equipment. This is why Prusa Features developed the Original Prusa i3 printer design, which is now used in thousands of 3D printers around the world. He wanted to build a quality printer that he could use and upgrade over time, and this approach has proven popular.
Adding to the reliability of the i3 is the ability to use it with a tablet or smartphone to monitor and control your machine remotely. This makes it easy to print at home or in the office without having to go back and forth between the machine and a computer.
Top Features of PrusaSlicer You Should Know
Other great features include sensorless homing, automatic Mesh Bed Calibration, removable spring steel sheets that make it easier to remove prints and are easy to maintain, network printing via USB and Ethernet, and error-correcting stepper motor drivers to prevent layer shifts. The i3 MK3S+ also uses higher-quality bearings on the Y-axis and includes a new filament sensor that detects and pauses the machine when a filament is loaded or runs out, as well as an ambient temperature sensor that confirms suitable print environment conditions.
The i3 MK3S+’s SuperPINDA probe has been improved with a more accurate sensor for a fully automated Mesh Bed Leveling process, which probes the print bed in different places to create a virtual height map of the print area. Combined with the milled dural frame and Bondtech gears on the extruder, this makes the first layer of every print perfect!
